The 1909 Compartment Coach is a wooden bogie coach and the un-braked counterpart of the Braked 1909 Compartment Coach.

The 1909 Compartment Coach is only available in Nederlandsche Spoorwegen green.
Historical Detail
SS
The Maatschappij tot Exploitatie van de Staatsspoorwegen (SS) ordered 88 of these coaches throughout 1909-1919 from J.J. Beijnes and Werkspoor, which were based on a braked third class coach from 1906, but without the brakeman's house. The coaches were divided in two, with five compartments and one toilet on either half. They entered service as the third class (C) coaches 861-948.
NS
When the SS and Hollandsche IJzeren Spoorweg-maatschappij (HSM) merged in 1921, the coaches were renumbered to NS C 6101-6188, still third class. They would eventually be replaced by modern, metal coaches. All were scrapped.
