Historical Details
HSM
The Hollandsche IJzeren Spoorweg-Maatschapij (HSM) ordered 10 of these coaches throughout 1903-1906 from J.J. Beijnes. The coaches were designed with both first and second class seats, divided by the toilet. Five second class compartments and the brakeman's house were on one side of the toilet, with three first class compartments on the other. They entered service as HSM AB 801-810.
NS
When the HSM and Maatschappij tot Exploitatie van de Staatsspoorwegen (SS) merged in 1921, the coaches got renumbered to NS AB 6201-6210, still first and second class. During World War 2 all were reported 'missing', except 6207 which was used as a service wagon for the Railway Construction Company. None are preserved.
