The NS 3950 is a fictional series of 2'C1' (4-6-2) locomotive drawn and designed in 1928 by W.F.G.J. Tabernal. Tabernal's original drawing has been used and adapted to make the engine players see in-game, with it sharing design elements from the plans and Robin's own details. It is therefore loosely based on the original with a bit of creative freedom.
Variants
The only available livery for for the NS 3950 is Nederlandsche Spoorwegen green.
Historical details
Tabernal's design

The origins of this alleged locomotive design comes from that of a single blueprint, which was drawn up in 1928 by an individual known as W.F.G.J. Tabernal. The original drawing attributes to the in-game engine's overall length, the size of the boiler, the wheels and the cab to some extent.
Other inspiration
The final engine seen in-game draws inspiration from several other Dutch engines, of which, the NS 3700, the NS 3900 and NS 6300, drawing different elements from the engines elements such as the smoke deflectors from both the NS 3900 and NS 6300, and a stretched cab reminiscent of the NS 3700 and NS 3900.
Some German designs also serve as inspiration to the final engine.
