The Anniversary NS 3700 is a Dutch 2'C (4-6-0) steam locomotive. It is an event version of the NS 3700 to celebrate Streamlined's first year of being open. It released on May 29th, 2021.

The Anniversary NS 3700 is only available in Nederlandsche Spoorwegen green.

Availability

It appeared between May 29 - June 4, 2021, May 29 - June 5, 2022 and May 28 - June 4, 2023 while Streamlined celebrated its first, second and third anniversary respectively. Additionally, in 2023 it was also available between the 21st and 30th of January to celebrate Streamlined reaching a million visits.

The original price of the Anniversary NS 3700 was ƒ750.000, the price was increased to ƒ1.000.000 for both availability periods in 2023.

Historic details

The Anniversary NS 3700 takes its inspiration from celebrations for the 100 years of railways existing in the Netherlands (1839-1939). For this, various locomotives, stations, signal boxes and workshops were decorated and a parade was held. Among the locomotives were at least one NS 3700 and an NS 3900. The 3900 was NS 3930, which was photographed at Amersfoort station. These decorations would eventually form the inspiration for the anniversary NS 3700.

• The Anniversary NS 3700 is a 'reskin' of the NS 3700, which is mixed, and received a celebratory cosmetic exterior.
• The 'Out of service' year is stated to be 1958, which implies that it's NS 3737, which is the only NS steam engine put out of service after 1957.
• There are two matching rolling stock for the Anniversary NS 3700, the 1 Million Visits Square Windower, and the Anniversary Stalen D
• The Anniversary NS 3700 has been released 4 times, in versions 0.4.16, 0.4.65, 0.5.18 and 0.5.35.
  • With the release of 0.4.65, it was stated that the Anniversary NS 3700 would not be put on sale ever again, which would have been in trend with all the other limited rolling stock.
• The Anniversary NS 3700 was first released in version 0.4.16.
  • The Anniversary NS 3700 has been released 4 times, in versions 0.4.16, 0.4.65, 0.5.18 and 0.5.35.
