The Scrapped NS 2400 is only available in Nederlandsche Spoorwegen brown.
Availability
A week before the 2023 Halloween event, the scrapped NS 2400 was teased in a dark picture.
It was available from the 29th of October to the 6th of November for ƒ1.000.000.
According to the 'release year, redemption year' pattern of event rolling stock, it is bound to return during the Halloween event of 2024.
Trivia
- When first released, it carried the number of NS 2401. This was later changed to 'NS 2400' to avoid double numbers with the standard NS 2400 and a story of the Voorlemsche Courant (Edition 14, 2023) which described it as a prototype of the series.
- This also means that it is the only locomotive which has repeated numbers when doubleheading.
- The Scrapped NS 2400 is the only diesel locomotive with an engine modelled inside of it.
- The Scrapped NS 2400 is the fourth instalment the Scrapped series of limited rolling stock.
- The other scrapped themed rolling stock are the Scrapped NS 2100, Scrapped C12c and Ghost Elephant Van.
- The Scrapped NS 2400 is the first event locomotive that has the same stats as the regular version.
- It is also the first event locomotive that has only one livery, despite the regular version having two.
- The Scrapped NS 2400 was added in version 0.7.3.
