Historical details
The S-LWO was a type of stake wagon built starting from 1958. These all metal wagons with a wooden floor were designed to be used for various purposes. The stakes could be removed, and the side, front and rear walls could be lowered so you could easily drive vehicles onto the wagons. Similar wagons are still in service with various rail maintenance companies, and several examples have been preserved at various heritage railways in the Netherlands, being very useful for maintenance trains or storage.
The Covered S-LWO was a privately owned wagon of the Dutch beer brand Heineken, which used it to transport their beer.
