Historical detail
In 1905, the Hollandsche IJzeren Spoorweg Maatschappij (HSM) ordered a series of boxcars with a loading cpacity of 12 tons and up from Werkspoor. This type was among the many that HSM ordered, it's predecessors were the CHA, CHB and CHC. The majority of the 20 ton CHD type had their roofs raised and their wheels moved from 4 to 5 meters apart in the 1930s, which in return gave them a slightly larger cargo capacity and were suitable to travel at speeds up to 100 km/h. They started to be phased out in the 1960s, with most of them being used for storage and later scrapped indefinetly.

- Both in-game and in real life, the main difference between the 25 ton CHD and the 20 ton CHD is that the 25 ton CHD has a raised roof and its axles placed farther apart.
- The wagon weighs 1 ton less than its counterpart, the braked 20 ton CHD and 25 ton CHD.
- It replaced the Covered Wagon as the free level 1 wagon.
- The 20 ton CHD was added in version 0.4.75.
