Historical Detail
Between 1935 and 1939 the NS ordered a new series of steel coaches from factory Werkspoor for international trains to neighbouring countries like Germany, Belgium and France The coaches were painted in olive green with silver roofs but with the threat of war, the roofs were repainted grey. In 1956 the coaches were repainted to berlin blue, none were ever being painted turquoise.
The 2nd Class Prewar Bolkop is based of the NS ABCd 7301-7308 class built between 1935-1936. They had 4/10 first class seats, 11/17 second class seats and 48 third class seats. After World War 2 a lot of them were either stolen or destroyed. Before being withdrawn and out of service all coaches got renumbered and reclassed multiple times.
