Historical details
From 1913 onwards the Hollandsche IJzeren Spoorweg-Maatschappij had over 400 wagons of the CHRK type constructed. Some wagons had a brake hut, while all had running boards along the side for the ability to use them in passenger trains. Under Dutch Railways the first wagons were put out of service in the 1930s, however most would continue use until the late 1960s. A lot of modifcations were made throughout its lifetime. Most wagons had their brake huts removed, and many others would also see the running boards reduced to a little step under the door. Some were repainted in Dutch Railways brown, but most would be scrapped before the scheduled repaint. None are preserved.
