Historical details

The braked FCKS livestock van is part of a series of 125 wagons built for the Staatsspoorwegen in 1908 and 1913. These wagons were already quite standardised, with companies like the Hollandsche IJzeren Spoorweg-Maatschappij (HSM) ordering similar wagons, and various configurations being available, like a similar wagon modified for transporting chicken. These wagons were used for well over 40 years, until their eventual replacement in the late 1950s. None have been preserved.
