Overview
The mail route was a temporary route added as Valentines event in 2022 and 2023. It's one of the longest routes in the game.

- The mail route came with its own Mail freight
- Mail was transported in all box wagons from the General Goods category
- Mail is the only freight type that stops at stations rather than freight depots.
- It's also the only freight that can be pulled by passenger engines.
- The route got introduced on February 13th in version 0.4.52 in 2022 and February 12th, version 0.5.21, in 2023 and was removed in the following update in both cases.
- Unlike other freight routes, mail route's loading text was "Loading Mail..." instead of "Loading cargo...".
- Since version 0.4.54 all cargo routes now tell you what cargo you are loading.
