Historical details

The CHPP refrigerated vans were built from 1947 onward, to replace some of the older wagons and wagons lost in World War 2. These wagons were heavily isolated to keep the insides cool, because there was no ice compartment in the roof to provide for extra cooling. While most wagons were built for Dutch Railways, some were built for the Amstel Brouwerij, a Dutch brewery. None have been preserved.
