Historical details
The braked 1920 standard tanker was used to transport oil between various refineries. They were built between 1910s-1930s and were owned by many private companies. To keep the oil from freezing, they were equipped with a steam heating system that could be connected to a stationary boiler or a steam locomotive boiler. The brake huts were decommissioned in the later years, but would only get removed if their condition had greatly deteriorated. Later in preservation they were used as a additional water storage for operational steam locomotives. A few wagons of this type are preserved in various railway museums around the Netherlands, such as wagon numbers NS 530 714 P, NS 506 607 P at the Museum Buurtspoorweg, and NS 510 130 P at the Stoomtrein Goes Borsele.

- It does not have the Kite and Bonn livery that its counterpart has.
- Despite being braked, it's not any longer than the normal 1920 standard tanker.
- It weighs an additional 1 ton compared to the non-braked counterpart.
- The wagon was known as the braked 22k litre tanker before it was renamed to the braked 1920 standard tanker in version 0.8.8.
- This wagon has been available since the game's launch, version 0.1.
